Peas Are Growing!People become organic gardeners for many reasons.  Here are the reasons I can think of for doing organic gardening.  Leave a comment and let us know why you chose organic gardening as a hobby.

  1. Health - Organic gardening ensures you eat more healthy, organic products that you are sure meet your fresh veggie standards.
  2. Budget - Organic produce can be expensive in the grocery store.  Producing your own organic goods can safe you big cash on organic products.
  3. Environmental - It is no surprise that organic gardening is good for the environment.  Just think of the fuel cost of those carrots getting to the grocery store or the packaging impact on wrapping them.
  4. Challenge - Do you enjoy a challenge?  Organic gardening is not for wimps.  You are taking on the challenge of not using chemical shortcuts to get great results.
  5. Hobby - Organic gardening is a GREAT hobby.  Relaxing, steady and a high sense of accomplishment when you use your organic vegetables, organic herbs and organic fruits and flowers to brighten up your table.

Organic gardening is challenging but also very rewarding in many ways.  Leave a comment below and tell us why you are an organic gardener.
