Are you always on the look out for the latest trends in garden designs, tools and plants?  Todd Goulding recently compiled a list of the hottest and not-so-hot trends for 2008 in gardening.

Hot Trends:  I was not surprised to see Hummingbirds and hanging baskets with coconut liners on the list as you see the supplies to support those trends in the garden shops and discount houses.

A hot trend that did surprise me?  Tree houses for adults and kids.

On the not so hot list?  Azaleas leads the way - rather a traditional, perhaps old fashion beauty.  Marigolds and wild flower gardens also make the not so hot list.

The surprise for me?  solar lights.  With all of the GREEN conversation, this was a surprise.

What’s on your hot list for this year?
